iPad iOS update to V15.2 (and later) and RealBridge

If your iPad has an iOS update for version 15.2 (or later), you will need to make a couple of settings changes to get RealBridge stable. The big changes in iOS 15 are causing the Chrome Browser a lot of issues so when you update to 15.x please use Safari Browser.

Why is RealBridge more unstable on iPads? Simply because this is the platform that Apple really innovates on and pushes the envelope with new experimental features. RealBridge is also on the leading edge of what people use iPads for and with both together we are from time to time going to experience glitches.

Once you have updated to iOS 15.2 please use Safari Browser for RealBridge

1) To update Safari in Settings you need to open your Settings App, select Safari on the list on the left. The on the right side scroll to the bottom of the list and tap on Advanced.

Safari - Advanced

2) Once you are on the advanced page scroll all the way to the bottom and tap on Experimental Features.

Safari - Experimental

3) On the experimental Features page, again scroll all the way to the bottom and make sure the "WebRTC ..." items in the list are selected as displayed below (green is on, dark grey is off).

Safari - WebRTC

4. Once you have made the WebRTC changes go back to General on the left side and tap on it, scroll again to the bottom and tap on Shut Down. Then slide to power off. Wait a few seconds and then hold down the power button until the Apple logo shows on the center of the screen to power up the iPad and apply the changes.

Remember - Once you have updated to iOS 15.2 please use Safari Browser for RealBridge

If you have an problems performing these changes call Gary on 0413 884 805 and I can step you through it.
