As per my communication in the latest newsletter
the Committee has undertaken a financial analysis in order to determine the appropriate amount to charge for online (RealBridge) sessions.

Effective tomorrow, Monday 30 November, NSBC online RealBridge sessions will be charged at $8 per player.  To be eligible to play you will need to be registered on the club’s “PP” system and your account will be debited $8 for each session that you play online.  The 5% reduction of table fees for PP participants does not apply, i.e. the charge really is $8.  There will be no change to the $12 amount we charge members for face to face bridge sessions. If you are not on the NSBC Pre-Paid system you need to join ASAP simply click the link below,  go to the Pre-Paid section and make a Top-Up and we will set you up. You will be emailed a statement at the end of each month.

The $8 charge was determined based on an analysis of our current cost structure but by necessity included several assumptions.  The Committee will continue to review the financial performance of the Club on a regular basis and will alter the charge if necessary.  Our objective is to ensure we remain financially secure.  The charge per player we have set should, if our assumptions are correct, achieve that objective rather than result in us running at a loss or accumulating profits.

RealBridge is our platform of choice, all Open sessions will be on RealBridge from now. All Rookie and Restricted sessions will start on RealBridge from the Wednesday 2.00pm session onwards. Supervised will start on RealBridge from Monday the 7th of December.

Some of you have let us know that you love RealBridge and some of you tell us you hate it.  It does take a couple of sessions to get used to it (I remember the same occurred when I first started playing on BBO) but we are confident it will allow us not only to continue to offer you a quality bridge playing experience but that it will continue to be enhanced over time. 

Our RealBridge sessions will offer you 24 boards for the open sessions Rookie will remain at 18 boards and Restricted-Rookie 21 boards. Supervised will continue with 15 boards. 

For those of you who haven’t made the transition yet, please read the emails from Mike and the team carefully and reach out to them if you need assistance.

Please note if you take a seat at anytime once you log off you are removed from your seat.

We ask all players be logged in and seated 10 minutes before start time please.

When you click the Link for your session’ when it opens enter your full name with a space between 1st name and surname and the ID is your ABF Number the password should be automatically filled in if not please see the list below.
