I suspect that everyone else already knows this, but as regular teammates with Margaret, I have only just found out. Apparently, she is standing down as Membership Secretary so she can do other things, including playing more bridge.

During October - there were 534 members who came at least once to play in our friendly face-to-face sessions at East Lindfield and the Willis. And played a total of over 1800 sessions. This includes the daytime Open and Rookie sessions and the Labour Day Congress.

What an amazing time we all had, it was much more enjoyable to gather at our wonderful East Lindfield venue than having to fight the crowds - and the weather - at the Flemington Racecourse for this annual event. And the food, well done all you Chefs out there.

The Winner of our monthly competition for October in the OPEN category, was John Mottram. First in the Restricted was Brian Osborne and First in the Rookies was Meera Kudva.

Winners are Grinners! The annual Margaret Smales Northern Interclub Teams event was won by Trumps Bridge Club, hosted this year by NSBC (last year's winners). Well done Trumps!
