The club’s 2020 AGM had been delayed from April 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was held on Saturday August 15 both physically, at the Lindfield Rollers Bowling Club, and through Zoom video technology.

After the formalities of tabling and accepting the various reports had been completed

  • The Chairman and outgoing President John Mottram congratulated and announced the  2020/21 committee of the club (L to R in above photo):

    President:             David Fryda
    Vice President:     David Hudson
    Hon Treasurer:     Les Grewcock
    Hon Secretary:     David Hagley
Committee Members:     Elana Kohn. Graham Murray and Maryann Russett.
    Club Manager:      Mike Prescott

  • Changes to the Club’s Constitution were voted for and accepted.  These are to permit future meetings to be held at two or more venues using technology and also to allow electronic ballots.

  • No early resumption of face-to-face bridge sessions is expected by NSBC. Members will be kept informed.

  • Our hard-working Manager Mike has been providing numerous BBO sessions. These are currently satisfying player demand and will continue as free sessions.

  • As Club Willoughby will soon be redeveloped, many possible options for alternate premises have been considered. A site in Help St Chatswood is currently believed to be the most suitable, and we are in the process of submitting a DA to Willoughby Council.

  • David Fryda highlighted and thanked John Mottram for his contribution and commitment to the club. He also thanked all club staff for adapting and helping with the changed COVID-19 environment  and spoke in glowing terms about club’s Manager Mike Prescott’s performance.
