Winners of GNOT Direct Qualifier Event

In an incredibly close final - the closest possible - the Beauchamp team beat the Jeffery team by one IMP over 28 boards! At the half-way point Beauchamp was ahead 32-28, while Jeffery came back with 31-28 in the second half.

Congratulations to the Winners - David Beauchamp, Carola Hoogervorst, Mike Hughes, Peter Fordham, Maurits van der Vlugt, Andre Korenhof. They will proceed to the National Grand Final in Tweed Heads near the end of the year. Commiserations to the runners up - Peter Jeffery, David Hudson, Wayne Zhu, Yumin Li, William Zhang, Yixiang Zhang, who will be sponsored by the club to the Metropolitan Final.

The Winners of the Repechage were Bob Sebesfi, Richard Douglas, David Fryda, Michael Cartmell, Giselle Mundell, Avril Zets, while 2nd were Witold Chylewski (Jun), Judy Osie, Warren Dobes, Les Grewcock. They too will be sponsored to the Metro Final.
