Aussies Triumph in the Great Ditch Challenge
Congratulations to all the NSBC players participating in this event. As a result, we were able to get revenge for last year's humiliating defeat.
Thanks especially to Gary Barwick, who came up with a formula (shrouded in secrecy) to enable the North Shore Bridge Club to claim victory over the Auckland Bridge Club. This was despite, in the spirit of ANZAC mateship, we allowed the Kiwis to borrow Eugene Gordon and Michael Courtney (well, 50% of them) to boost their scores.
