Breaking News - Festival Moved to Online

liam

Further to my communications yesterday, the changes to the restrictions announced by the NSW Premier today (Tuesday) with respect to the mandatory wearing of masks has resulted in us deciding to move our Festival of Bridge online.

Many of you have requested this and I trust it will be a popular decision.

We will now be running ALL FOUR Festival events on RealBridge at the same times as we were scheduled to play the face-to-face events (10am and 2pm session times each day). The flyer below shows all of the player information you will need.

We have dropped the entry price to $25 per player to reflect the move online and the lower overheads involved, but we will retain an attractive prize structure (dependent on entries).

We will assume that you will still play in the event unless we hear otherwise. Please take action as soon as possible: either confirming your spot with payment in advance or by withdrawing online.

To play online you will require a laptop or tablet with a working camera and microphone.  Given the short notice of these changes we recommend that you withdraw if you do not have experience playing on RealBridge; however, many of you will be familiar with the platform and some of you may prefer it!

If you no longer wish to play, we require you to withdraw your entry using the facility on the NSWBA website. To do so you will need the password provided to you via email when you submitted your entry.  If you cannot use the website to withdraw then please reply to manager@bridgeclub.com.au

Regarding advance payments: if you have paid in advance and are a North Shore Bridge Club member with a prepaid account, we will credit your PP account with the difference in entry fees ($25) or the full entry fee ($50) depending on whether you play or not, unless otherwise advised. If you are not a member and have paid in advance, we will contact you to process refunds.

A separate email will be sent to all players still entered with details on how to connect to the RealBridge sessions in due course. We are very lucky that we have tournament director Matthew McManus who will ensure that the move to the online environment goes smoothly!

We appreciate your understanding in these circumstances and hope that you will still be able to join us for our Festival!

Kind regards,

Liam Milne
