When they are ready, their next set of lessons “5 Essential Conventions”. By the end of “5 Essential Conventions”, most players have moved up to play in the Rookie game.
Already playing regularly?
Transition Lessons are short, subject-based sessions crafted for players who’ve done the basics and are ready to level up—but without diving off the deep end.
They’re designed to help you confidently move from Rookie to Restricted, and maybe even start dipping a toe into Open. Each lesson zeroes in on a specific concept that trips up developing players—and shows you how to handle it with style.
🧩 Want to understand when not to draw trumps?
🧩 Confused about which finesse to take first?
🧩 Struggling to make sense of the defence while still planning your own play?
🧩 Learn Bergen Raises or Michael's Cue Bid.
These aren’t generic lessons—they’re practical, real-world problem-solving for the kinds of situations that cause good players to crash and burn. You’ll learn how to think under pressure, how to adapt, and how to keep your cool (even when the opps are being, let’s say... enthusiastic with their doubles).
