Teaching group get-together
The teaching team decided to put on a Christmas social game for our newest players, many of whom had only ever played online, and so hadn’t met each other, or us, face-to-face.
We had our first event on the evening of Monday 5th December with some friendly hands, a break for a drink and a snack, and then a bit more Bridge. Then we had a second session on the morning of Monday 12th December, same format but with morning tea in the break. The team and the players supplied all the food which was magnificent, and a great time was had by all.
We had 26 new faces at the club in the evening, and 50 the following week in the morning. We hope that this will serve to boost the new Supervised and Rookie games on Mondays mornings and evenings.
Unfortunately we were too excited meeting everyone to remember to take pictures on the 5th, but here are a couple from the 12th:
