Rookie/Restricted Matchpoint Swiss Pairs

Have you ever felt disappointed when you got .5 of a masterpoint for winning a Club duplicate event. I mean you played really well all for 1/2 a masterpoint. You will never rise to the lofty ranks of Grand Master....
Playing in our congresses and special events like the Matchpoint Swiss Pairs and our up and coming Bridge Festival is your chance.
The Restricted Matchpoint Swiss Pairs event is run over 3 x Thursday nights, starting at 7pm. If your partner cannot make all three evenings you are allowed to substitute, just let Gary know by completing this form.
What is Matchpoint?
This is the scoring method and is exactly the same as what you play in your Rookie and Restricted Club games.
What does Swiss mean?
This is the best thing about most of these congress events. In layman's terms, you let the big boys fight it out between themselves and the rest of us have a nice friendly easy time! The first round of a Swiss movement is random, but after that it is seeded - so last place with play second last place, and so on. Which is why it is a great format to try out an event like this.
Prizes
Not only do you get extra masterpoints, but you can win money too.
So why not be brave, put yourself outside your comfort zone and join us in our next event which will be starting on Thursday June 13th @ 7pm. Click here to register.. Don't have a partner or do not know how to use MyABF - please call Gary on 0413 884 805.
If you have any other questions, doubtful whether your bridge is good enough - please contact Mike (0435 528 872) or Gary (0413 884 805) and they will help you decide.
