Club RESTRICTED Champion Determination Rules 2025

  • All players entered in a NSBC Restricted Championship event are eligible to score Club Restricted Championship Points. This includes members and visitors. However, only points scored as an NSBC member count towards determining the eventual Club Restricted Champion.

  • All players in RESTRICTED events must have fewer than 300 Master Points.  A player who reaches 300 masterpoints during the year will no longer be eligible to play in RESTRICTED sections of any future events and will no longer receive further Club RESTRICTED Championship (CRC) points.
  • Players in Intermediate events or who finish in first 7 places in an Intermediate category, are eligible to score CRC points, provided they have fewer than 300 Master Points.
  • CRC Points awarded for each event are 1st=10, 2nd=7, 3rd=5, 4th=4, 5th=3, 6th=2, 7th=1. If there are fewer than 3 contestants in the RESTRICTED category, the points awarded are 5 and 4.
  • Tied positions get the average of the tied position scores: i.e.  3 x equal 2nd scores (7+5+4)/3 = 6 points each.  Rounded Up.
  • Four Events (Club Restricted Pairs, Morgans Restricted Swiss Paris, Festival Restricted Pairs and Festival Restricted Teams ) score double points  i.e. 1st=20, then 14, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2.
  • For both Pairs and Teams events, each pair/team member in the top 7 positions scores full CRC points, irrespective of number of sessions played.
  • Substitutes score zero Championship points.
  • In small events CRC points, starting with 10 for 1st, will be awarded to all place-getters, irrespective of the number of participants in the event.
  • The updated CRC Scores and Rankings will be made available on the NSBC website.
  • The NSBC Manager's decision on any CRC Scoring issues / appeals is final.
