Introducing the Improving with John Newman Series

Improving with John Newman

Starting in 2025, John will be running a new series of lessons designed to address the specific areas where our players can make the biggest strides in their bidding and playing ability. These lessons aren’t just theoretical or drawn from a textbook; they’re crafted from John’s extensive experience with our Club Members and focus on the practical aspects of bridge that matter most. If you've been to one of John's sessions, you’ll know how valuable his insights are—and if you haven’t yet, this is your chance to experience them firsthand.

What’s on Offer

Free Tuesday Sessions
Every Tuesday at 1:30 PM at East Lindfield, John kicks off with a free 30-minute lesson, with practical hand play. Then a regular 18 board duplicate session.  These sessions are an excellent opportunity to learn in a relaxed and supportive environment, whether you're new to bridge or just looking to refine your skills.

Friday Afternoon Workshops
For those keen to dive deeper, John will also be hosting 2-hour lessons on various Friday afternoons at 1 PM. These workshops include practical hand play and come with a comprehensive course booklet. Each session focuses on real-life scenarios to help you develop the confidence and skills to take your game to the next level.
