Yesterday at East Lindfield, bridge enthusiasts gathered for another of John Newman's highly popular interactive playing and learning lessons. The session was a complete sell-out, proving once again how much players value the opportunity to refine their bidding and play with John's expert guidance.
A key highlight of the lesson was John's engaging analysis of actual North Shore Bridge Club Rookie play. He carefully selected real-life bridge problems from recent games, allowing participants to work through challenges they may face at the table. The focus of this session? Deciphering which bids are forcing and which are not—a crucial skill for any bridge player looking to advance their game.
In addition to the valuable learning experience, attendees enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea, making the session not only educational but also a social and fun event. Laughter and lively discussion filled the room as John broke down complex bidding situations with clarity and enthusiasm.
If you’re looking to improve your bridge, these lessons are a must! John’s next session will be held on Friday, 14th March at 1pm at East Lindfield. Given the overwhelming demand for his lessons, early booking is highly recommended.
