Monthly Winners Grand Final 2025

There was lots of fun  evident when the 2024 Monthly winners gathered at our East Lindfield clubrooms to find out who were the ultimate champions. The emphasis at this event was to have a good time - rather than the serious life-or-death competitions that you may be used to.

There were separate sections for all categories - Open, Restricted, Rookie and Supervised;

The Champions of Champions were:

 

OPEN - Alessandro Gado and Alex Kemeny

 

 

RESTRICTED -     David Craig and Sharon Thompson

 

 

ROOKIE -Mark Bloxham and Jane Loveday

 

 

SUPERVISED -   Karen Slee and Craig Goulding

 

Spare a thought - and many thanks to our manager and director for the event, Mike - who had to contend with several pairs NOT appearing at the start of the event - with only a last minute phone call. This played havoc with the movements that Mike had carefully worked out and then had to modify. This was despite several reminders days in advance to let us know if anyone that had entered, no longer wished to play. Very inconsiderate - but well done Mike to reset the movements so everyone was still able to enjoy the day. Another challenge for Mike was the discovery - half way into the morning session - that someone had returned hands to the wrong board!
