Monthly Winners Grand Final 2026
There was lots of fun on display when the 2025 Monthly winners gathered at our East Lindfield clubrooms on Friday 20th March, to find out who were the ultimate champions. The emphasis at this event was to have a good time - rather than the serious life-or-death competitions that you may be used to.
There were separate sections for all categories - Open, Restricted, Rookie and Supervised.
The Champions of Champions were:
OPEN - Peter Jeffery & Steven Bock
RESTRICTED - Ian Newton & Linda Cunningham
ROOKIE - Mandy Macdonald & Vibeke Faurby
SUPERVISED - Kali Lawrie & Andrew Roughan
Mike had dreamed up a new format for the day's event. Instead of having a normal duplicate for both the morning and afternoon sessions, the morning session was a qualifying round with the top 5 teams in each direction progressing to a 5 table Howell in the afternoon, while the rest of each field played in a Consolation in the afternoon. Bad luck for those who thought they could save their best scintillating play for after they had feasted on some lunch!
