Success in Playoffs for the 2023 Australian Team
The primary purpose of the Playoffs was to select the Australian Open Team for the next year.
There were places for 8 teams to play in this event - based on the number of PQPs (Player Qualifying Points) earned in high level competitions over the last year. It turned out that there were only 7 entries, so the highest ranking team (Hans) proceeded directly to the semi-final together with the three winners in the quarter finals. The teams were:
The Final was won by the DALLEY Team: Tony Nunn, Paul Dalley, Jamie Thompson, Tony Leibowitz, Rob Frueworth and Paul Gosney. The two Tonys are members - and Jamie is a popular Director - at NSBC.
