2024 Northern Interclub Teams
The annual Margaret Smale Northern Interclub Teams event was won by Peninsula Bridge Club, hosted this year by NSBC at East Lindfield. Well done Peninsula!
Four clubs contested the 2024 event - Trumps, Peninsula, Manly and NSBC and were divided into two sections. Division 1 included Open and Intermediate players (750+ and 300 - 750 Master Points) while Division 2 included Restricted and Rookie players (100 - 300 and fewer than 100 Master Points). There were a total of 18 teams competing.
The scoring was the normal IMPs/VPs. To determine the winning club at the end of the event, the top 3 placed clubs in each Masterpoint group were awarded 3, 2, 1 points producing a final total for each club.
Many thanks to our Director Ronnie who created a movement where in most cases, teams were not pitted against other teams from the same club.
Thanks also to Sue Crompton who delivered an excellent lunch as well as snacks throughout the day.
