NSBC Club Open Teams Championships 2024

 

Welcome the NSBC Club Open Teams Championship for 2024. This event is also a qualifier for the State Open Teams Championships and the overall winners of this event will recieve sponsored entry into the State Open Teams Metropolitan Final running in conjuction with the Pennant Hills Teams Congress on October 13th 2024. Congratulations to last years winners.

Format

This is a 5-week event with IMP/VP Scoring. The first three weeks are qualifying rounds followed by a semi-final, final and consolation Swiss in the final two weeks.

Weeks 1, 2 & 3: are qualifying rounds with 9 x 9 board rounds with three rounds played each night.

Week 4: The top four placed teams will enter the semi-final. The semi-final will be 2 x 14 board stanzas with each pair playing both pairs from the other team over both stanzas (managed automatically by RealBridge). The leading team going into the semi-final will have the choice of playing either the third or fourth placed team. The remainder of the teams will play in the consolation Swiss which will also be 2 x 14 board rounds

Week 5: Winners of the semi-final will play each other in the final. The final will be 2x14 board stanzas with pairs playing both pairs from the other team over two stanzas (managed automatically by RealBridge). The losing teams from the semi-finals will be placed into the Swiss with VP's equal to the leading team.

Kibitzing

Spectators can kibitz the session from 7:00pm via the Kibitizing link below. During qualifying the delay will be based on all tables having completed the board.

 

 

Player Substitutes

All player substitutions, even last minute ones, must be approved by the tournament committee. Please make your best effort to substitute a player of comparable standard. Players deemed by the tournament committee to not be of comparable standard may result in score adjustments. Take a moment to think ahead of players you could consider in the case of needing a substitute.
